Good morning, friends. As I write this on COVID-19 Pandemic Day of Isolation #67, we are in the Coffee Hours (waking until ~4 p.m.), though soon enough, we will be in the Cocktail Hours (~4/5 p.m. until bedtime). My children are shouting about the injustice du jour in the background as I type.
Ask yourself the question I am asking myself right now: are you ready for when the Cocktail Hours arrive?
I downsized the traditional rickey highball recipe for an old-fashioned size glass. This recipe contains about 2/3 the amount of a standard serving of alcohol.
Get creative with the recipe. No tart cherry juice in the house? Omit it entirely. Or use a flavored syrup or other juice. Remember to taste your concoction as you go to establish your preferred balance of flavors.
