Ok, perhaps a 13-minute meal in total if you grate the cheese yourself and count boiling time in the equation. Still, it’s better than a 30-minute meal,right? This is the perfect dish to prep quickly so that the kiddos can get some food in their bellies and then run out the door to go trick or treating tonight!
Cacio e Pepe – Ramen Style
Ingredients
- packaged instant ramen
- 1/2 cups water
- olive oil
- salt
- pepper
- cheese (grated or shredded parmesan, pecorino, romano, mozzarella, etc.)
Directions
Step 1 | |
Boil water in small saucepan. Add salt, pepper, cheese, olive oil. | |
Step 2 | |
Open ramen package. Toss out flavoring packet. Place block of ramen into boiling cheese water. Cook for roughly 3 minutes until noodles are soft and ready to eat. | |
Step 3 | |
Serve in bowl and garnish with black pepper. |
